Apply for local flyer delivery work
Watch the training. Apply online. Accept only the jobs you can complete. Follow the map and job instructions. Submit your app record and invoice after the work is finished.
Important: read this before you apply
Walkers are independent contractors, not employees. Work is offered job-by-job. You can accept or decline each offer. Applying does not guarantee work, regular hours or income.
- Apply online — walker applications are not taken by phone.
- Choose each job — accept only when you can complete the full assigned work.
- Use your own phone — most jobs require an approved walking app and screenshots.
- Follow the map — deliver only in the assigned area and follow all job notes.
- Submit an invoice — payment is considered after the records and approved hours are checked.
- No guaranteed work — offers depend on client bookings and local campaign needs.
Start here: watch the training video, read the simple rules, then complete the roster form.
A charged smartphone, mobile data and location services are normally required.
You must be able to walk the assigned area safely and carry the allocated material.
Approved contractors must provide the details required to invoice and receive payment.
Read the job offer, reply clearly and contact the coordinator if there is a problem.
Do not accept a job for another person. Do not pass an accepted job to someone else unless Letterbox Distribution Services approves this in writing.
Watch the training before you apply
The video shows how a job offer works, how to deliver correctly and how to save the app record needed with your invoice.
For most jobs
- Use Map My Walk or the app named in the job instructions.
- Start the app when you begin the assigned field work.
- Keep it running during the delivery shift.
- Save the activity at the end of the shift.
- Record access problems, weather stops and other exceptions.
- Submit the required screenshots, hours and invoice.
The app record supports verification. It is not the only check used. Do not edit, combine or reuse an old route for a different job.

Complete the roster form. Applying does not guarantee work.
The offer explains the area, material, quantity, hours and other job details.
Accept only if you understand the job and can complete it.
Collect or receive the stock, follow the assigned map and deliver correctly.
Save the app activity and write clear notes about any problem or excluded area.
Send the invoice, approved hours and required records within the time in the job instructions.
The records are checked against the assigned area, quantity, hours and job notes.
Payment is approved only after the required records and invoice are accepted.
Only work and hours approved for the assignment are payable. Extra time, changed areas or extra work must be approved by the coordinator.
What you must do on every job
Place each client item fully into the correct letterbox. Do not leave items on top, on the ground or hanging out.
Do not throw away flyers, leave bundles, hide stock, give it to another person or put many items in one letterbox.
Do not enter locked, unsafe or restricted areas. Follow “No Junk Mail” rules for advertising material unless the job instructions lawfully say otherwise.
Use the map and section given to you. Do not change streets, quantities or areas without approval.
Record locked gates, unsafe dogs, construction, missing streets, bad weather, access problems and other exceptions.
Do not keep, reuse or dispose of leftover client material. Follow the return instructions.
Safety comes first
- Stop if the work is unsafe.
- Do not work in dangerous storms, flooding or other unsafe conditions.
- Do not continue field delivery above 35°C unless specifically authorised under a safe alternative arrangement.
- Carry water, wear suitable clothing and use sun protection.
- Do not enter private homes, fenced yards or unsafe properties.
- Contact the coordinator when the job cannot continue safely.
A safety stop does not give automatic approval for extra hours or a changed area. Tell the coordinator and wait for instructions.
Only send job information from your phone
Most walkers use their own phone. A screenshot may show the route, date, time, duration, distance or app activity needed for the job check.
Crop or cover private notifications, messages, account names and unrelated personal information where practical.
Do not include banking screens, passwords, health information, private photos, contact lists or unrelated messages.
Sending a screenshot does not give Letterbox Distribution Services access to your phone or ownership of your device.
Delete duplicate local screenshots when they are no longer needed for the invoice or an unresolved job issue.
GPS, app records and screenshots are internal supporting information. They are reviewed with approved hours, pace, speed, distance, route movement, assigned sections and quantities, field notes and invoice records.
Raw GPS, screenshots, live tracking and your personal contact or payment details are not supplied to clients. See the Privacy Policy.
Walker application form
Complete the form below. Use your correct name, contact details, suburb and availability. Applications are not accepted by phone.
- Applying does not guarantee approval or work.
- Work, hours and income are not guaranteed.
- You may be contacted only when suitable local work is available.
- You must read the job offer before accepting it.
- Approved contractors may need an ABN and other invoice or payment details.
The form collects information needed to assess your application and contact you about roster work. See the Privacy Policy.
Submit your records after the job
Payment is based on the accepted job and approved field-delivery hours. Flyer quantity is used to plan the work, but your invoice must match the approved assignment and the work records.
- Finish the assigned work or report why it could not be completed.
- Save the app activity for each required shift or day.
- Write clear notes for access problems, weather stops, returned stock or changed instructions.
- Submit the invoice with the required screenshots and approved hours.
- Submit on time — normally within 7 days unless the job instructions state another requirement.
The invoice and records must be checked first. Missing, unclear, edited, reused or inconsistent records may delay the review or prevent approval until the issue is resolved.
Do not add unapproved hours, travel, waiting time, helpers or extra areas to the invoice. Ask the coordinator before doing extra work.
What clients can see about the delivery process
This page shows the basic instructions walkers receive. It explains the roster, job offers, mapped allocations, app-supported records, field notes, invoice checks and payment approval process.
The area, quantity, material, service type and expected labour are reviewed before allocation.
Work is divided into assigned areas with quantities, approved hours and job instructions.
Local walkers receive job-by-job offers and can accept or decline them.
Walkers submit app-supported activity, notes, hours and invoices for internal review.
No single GPS line or screenshot is treated as proof by itself.
Contractor payment is considered after the required records are checked.
Clients do not hire, direct or contact individual walkers. Questions and changes must go through Letterbox Distribution Services using the approved business contact process.
The managed service also includes planning, mapping, allocation, briefing, coordination, revisions, record checking, invoice review and campaign close-out. Street delivery is not the only labour involved.
How a campaign moves through the system
Important limits
- Broad-area distribution does not guarantee every individual letterbox.
- Weather, access, safety, signage, development changes and mapping updates can affect field coverage.
- Shared Drops receive completion confirmation only.
- Solo Express may provide a written suburb-by-day delivery confirmation on request after audit.
- Raw GPS, personal-device screenshots, app files and individual walker records are not supplied to clients.
- Delivery, report and completion dates are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed in writing.
Simple rules support a consistent service
Walkers need clear instructions. Clients need a clear process. Both are supported by mapped work, job notes, app records and internal checks.
- Job-by-job offers — walkers can accept or decline each assignment.
- Independent contractors — work, hours and income are not guaranteed.
- Mapped allocations — each assignment has an area, quantity and approved labour allowance.
- Simple field rules — no dumping, bundling, unauthorised helpers or area changes.
- Safety and access — walkers stop for unsafe conditions and record exclusions.
- Internal privacy — raw screenshots and personal details are not client reports.
- Shared confirmation — completion confirmation only.
- Solo confirmation — suburb-by-day confirmation may be requested after audit.
How work is checked
Letterbox Distribution Services does not rely on GPS alone. The available records are reviewed together before payment approval and campaign close-out.
The mapped section, allocated quantity, approved hours and job instructions.
Whether the walker was in the assigned area and completed the approved field-delivery time.
Pace, speed, distance and route movement consistent with the assigned work.
App-supported information, screenshots, notes, access issues, completion records and communications.
The invoice is compared with the accepted job and approved hours before payment.
A GPS route alone cannot prove individual placement, walking rather than driving, access conditions or overall work quality.
Shared Drops receive completion confirmation only. For Solo Express, a written suburb-by-day delivery confirmation may be requested and, when issued after audit, records the stated areas and days and the approved field-delivery hours accepted for the work. No fixed report timeframe is promised. *Terms & Conditions apply*
